So where to find the best ramen in San Diego? When you think of food in San Diego, fish tacos or authenticate Mexican food generally comes to mind first. But San Diego certainly has it’s fair share of great ramen restaurants that you’ll find anywhere.
One of San Diego’s best ramen restaurants is Rakiraki Ramen located on Convoy Street. Be prepared for the long lines and limited parking spaces. But you’ll be glad you waited and endured the parking woes.
All of their ramen are very good although I haven’t tried all of them yet. The oxtail tsukemen is amazingly rich with flavor. The broth is amazing. And the amount of food is a lot for one person. The other ramen that you should try (if available) is the motsu nikomi which has beef tongue and tripe. I haven’t seen this ramen served anywhere else. With the other ramen, splurge and get it with the flamed blistered prime XO underbelly. Oh yeah…the red edition is spicy.
So when it comes to who serves the best ramen is SD, Rakiraki ranks up there with the best of them.
